Current Works

Construction on the Royal BC Museum’s (RBCM) collections and research building (CRB) has begun.

In preparation for construction, Shaker Faith spiritual workers led a traditional ceremony to bless the site and construction workers.

Excavation is underway for the foundation, with support from the project’s cultural monitor (Songhees) to oversee soil relocation with potential archaeological materials.

Visit this page for ongoing updates on the project as the construction progresses.
